Shotgun metagenomic reads derived from in vitro rumen fermentation experiment investigating how different phytogenic feed additives including (great burnet leaves, oregano leaves, cumin seed, and garlic bulb) shifts rumen microbiome structure, methanogenesis, and functional pathways (KEGG and CAZy) to identify mechanisms related to methane mitigation particularly in dairy cow diets.
