Purple leaf is a vital agricultural trait of significant economic importance in Brassica napus. To map the gene associated with purple leaves, an F2 population was derived from across between inbred line ZSG006 (dark purple leaf) and ZSG007 (green leaf). Sequencing-based bulked segregant analysis (Seq-BSA) was used to reveal candidate regions. This project may laid the foundation for the mapping based gene clone for purple leaf trait.
