资源简介:
This survey is part of an evaluation of the impact of the Alive & Thrive (A&T) Nigeria program on infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices. Part of the A&T intervention is delivered by interpersonal communication (IPC) between mothers and various types of public and private health providers. The purpose of the baseline health provider survey was to document providers’ current IYCF knowledge and skills and to provide data that can be used for tailoring the A&T intervention, particularly the IPC component delivered by health providers. We selected a stratified random sample of facility-based providers and a simple random sample of pharmacists, chemists, and TBAs. We used separate questionnaires for each of the three groups of providers. Data were collected from providers in Lagos and Kaduna States.
