The TK6 cell line is used frequently in genotoxicity studies in understanding p53-mediated DNA repair. Despite the routine use of TK6, little is known about the genetic status of these cells. To provide information concerning their genetic composition, we sequenced and analyzed the entire genome of TK6 cells. Data concerning the genetic status of TK6 will have important implications in genetic toxicology.
