资源简介:
ABSTRACT: Diazotrophs provide a significant reactive nitrogen source in the ocean. Increased warming, stratification and acidification may decrease nutrient availability in the future influencing all ecosystems with deleterious impacts for primary productivity and carbon export. Not depending on reactive nitrogen availability, diazotrophs may be "winners" in a nutrient depleted ocean. We exposed cultures of the widespread diazotroph Crocosphaera to low (26°C, pH 8.1), moderate (28°C, pH 8.0) and extreme (30°C, pH 7.9) climate change treatments and test their responses to additions of dissolved organic matter, including carbohydrates, and dissolved inorganic nitrogen.NOTE: This data set only contains the core parameters including pH, temperature, nutrients, as well as the cell abundance. Figures illustrating the experimental set up are also provided. In addition, gene expression analysis of the main metabolic pathways of this diazotroph between treatments, experimental time points and different coditions (e.g. DOM versus unmodified samples) are included in this dataset.Contact info: filella.lamadrid@gmail.com; jacqueline.umbricht@io-warnemuende.de
