Ferrocement Corrosion Image Dataset (FC-Corrosion-DB): Time-Series Photographs of Accelerated Aging Reinforced Cementitious Composites
收藏资源简介:
This dataset consists of a curated collection of .PNG images documenting the corrosion process of 48 ferrocement specimens over a 28-week period. The data is specifically designed for training and validating computer vision models in the field of structural health monitoring. 1. Specimen and Acquisition Details: Material: Ferrocement samples reinforced composites. Dimensions: Original specimens were 300x75x30 mm. Images were cropped obtaining a surface of 240x55 mm. Temporal Resolution: Images were acquired bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) during a 28-week accelerated corrosion campaign in acceelerated natural conditions alternating cyclic wet and dry conditions exposed to an NaCl fog. Environment: laboratory conditions. Image Calibration: a ColorChecker (color calibration target) was placed within the picture frame during each acquisition. In post-processing, all images underwent a white balance correction based on the ColorChecker reference tiles. This step ensured that variations in RGB values across the time series are strictly related to the material's degradation (rust formation) rather than shifts in the light source's color temperature. 2. File Naming Convention: Each image file follows a standardized, self-documenting naming structure divided into three parts separated by hyphens (e.g., D01-20240320-10W.PNG) Part 1 (Specimen ID): Indicates the series letter and specimen number (e.g., D01 represents specimen 01 of series D). Part 2 (Acquisition Date): Represents the date of the photographic scan in YYYYMMDD format (e.g., 20240320 for March 20, 2024). Part 3 (Aging Week): Specifies the exact week of the accelerated aging process (e.g., 10W for the 10th week).
