#Sonar Opinion Polls: #-------------------- #From August 1989 Sonar has regularly carried out a number of opinion polls, i.e. surveys of attitudes and habits of life of the adult Danish population. The opinion polls have been carried out approx. 10 times a year, and each opinion poll includes about six different subjects as well as the question of the respondent's voting intention at a hypothetical general election on the day of the interview. # The opinion polls have been carried out in collaboration with the daily paper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten. The subjects for the individual opinion polls are agreed upon at meetings between the editorial staff of Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten and Sonar; however, the wording of the questions is the sole responsibility of Sonar. # The following background information is included in the data material: #The household: #- Total number of persons #- Sex and age of the household members #- Type of dwelling #- Car in household #- Geocode-2 # #The respondent: #- Year of birth #- Sex #- Gainful employment #- Designation of occupation #- Membership of a trade organization #- If yes: Which organization #- Vote at the last general election #- Driving in own car # #Sonar Opinion Polls, 1991: #-------------------------- # In 1991 Sonar carried out 10 opinion polls. All the questions have been included in DDA-1690: Sonar Opinion Polls, 1991. In addition, the individual opinion polls are found in DDA-1691 to DDA-1700. # #This survey (DDA-1694 Sonar Opinion Polls 1991: April) deals with the following issues: #Party preference; attitude to the principle of keeping the elderly in their own homes for as long as possible; attitude to restrictions on admission to a nursing home or an old people's home; Dankort (an electronic payment card) in the household; use of the security code (the PIN-code); attitude to the proposal made by Prime Minister Poul Schlüter concerning joining together the municipalities in 75-125 major regional municipalities; the impact of this on municipal services, municipal taxes and self-determination; weekend drinking habits; ways in which economic crises are solved in trade and industry (dismissals versus wage reductions, dismissal according to the so-called SIFU model (last-in-first-out)); use of, attitude to and trust in nature healers; and trust in general practitioners
