资源简介:
This study presents the whole genome sequence of bacterial strain C-67, isolated from milk of a Jersey cow with clinical mastitis. The cow was from R/O Busserbugh Shuhama and brought to the Veterinary Clinical Complex for treatment. The milk sample was collected on October 19, 2023, with mastitis confirmed through California Mastitis Test, electrical conductivity, pH, and white side test analyses. Phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility testing revealed extensive multi-drug resistance to Penicillin, Tetracycline, Amoxyclav (Amoxicillin-Clavulanic acid), Cefpodoxime, and Streptomycin. Whole genome sequencing was performed to identify genetic determinants of antimicrobial resistance and virulence factors that contribute to bovine mastitis pathogenesis. Genomic analysis revealed a complex taxonomic profile with significant matches to members of the Enterobacteriaceae family, particularly Escherichia coli, as well as Paenisporosarcina species. This genomic data provides valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance in bovine mastitis-associated bacteria and their impact on dairy cattle health.
