TWIST1 expression is associated with high-risk neuroblastoma and promotes primary and metastatic tumor growth

Our aim was to investigate the contribution of TWIST1 on Neuroblastoma (NB) tumor formation and dissemination using TWIST1 knock-out (KO) in the SK-N-Be2C cell line. TWIST1 knock-out (KO) was performed in the SK-N-Be2C cell line by CRISPR/Cas9 technology. SK-N-Be2c-TWIST1-Control and -TWIST1-KO cells (50'000) were injected orthotopically in the adrenal glands of athymic Swiss nude mice. Transcriptomic analyses of the cells in vitro and their derived tumors were carried out by RNA-seq (Illumina Hiseq4000).
