Arabidopsis receptor-like kinase CRK5 regulates salicylic acid (SA)-dependent pathways that influence leaf aging and photosynthetic stress responses. Using RNA-sequencing of wild-type plants and mutants with altered SA metabolism or CRK5 function, we identify major transcriptional changes associated with dark-induced senescence and photoprotective energy dissipation. Mutants lacking CRK5 show elevated SA levels, premature leaf senescence, and reduced photosynthetic efficiency, while introducing SA-deficient mutations reverses these effects. The dataset provides genome-wide expression profiles that reveal how CRK5 coordinates SA-mediated signaling networks controlling senescence, stress responses, and chloroplast energy management.
