Spotty Liver Disease (SLD) is an acute disease in chickens caused by Campylobacter hepaticus. We recently isolated C. hepaticus from the liver of a commercial layer bird affected with SLD in the United States. Here we report the genome sequence of this C. hepaticus strain which we named as UF2019SK1. To our knowledge, this is the first complete genome sequence of a C. hepaticus strain of U.S. origin.
