This series comprises the Finance Committee Reports of Darlington Municipal Council This report is presented in the form of a day book, or book of original entry. All expenditure incurred by the council is recorded regardless of amount. The Finance Committee was required to authorise all expenditure, under provisions of the Local Government Accounting Regulations. The report was presented monthly to the Finance Committee, and each entry signed off by a member of the Finance Committee.
