GPCC Full Data Monthly Version 2022 at 1.0°: Monthly Land-Surface Precipitation from Rain-Gauges built on GTS-based and Historic Data

This is the centennial GPCC Full Data Monthly Product of monthly global land-surface precipitation based on the ~86,000 stations world-wide that feature record durations of 10 years or longer. The data coverage per month varies from ~20,000 (previous version 15,000) to more than 52,000 stations. The Full Data Monthly Product will be updated at irregular time intervals subsequent to significant data base improvements. This product contains the monthly totals on a regular grid with a spatial resolution of 0.25° x 0.25°, 0.5° x 0.5°, 1.0° x 1.0°, and 2.5° x 2.5° latitude by longitude. Precipitation anomalies at the stations are interpolated and then superimposed on the GPCC Climatology V2022 in the corresponding resolution (DOIs: 10.5676/DWD_GPCC/Clim_M_V2022_025, 10.5676/DWD_GPCC/Clim_M_V2022_050, 10.5676/DWD_GPCC/Clim_M_V2022_100, and 10.5676/DWD_GPCC/Clim_M_V2022_250). The temporal coverage of the dataset ranges from January 1891 until December 2020.

The GPCC Full Data Monthly Product is the most accurate in situ precipitation reanalysis data set of GPCC. Moreover it supports regional climate monitoring, model validation, climate variability analysis and water resources assessment studies.

本数据集为百年尺度全球降水气候学中心（Global Precipitation Climatology Centre，GPCC）逐月完整数据产品，基于全球约86000个观测时长达10年及以上的站点制作，涵盖全球陆面逐月降水总量。该数据集的月度有效观测站点数约在20000个（旧版本为15000个）至52000个以上区间波动。本逐月完整数据产品将在数据库完成重大升级后，以非固定周期进行更新。本产品提供多空间分辨率的逐月降水总量格点数据，分辨率分别为0.25°×0.25°、0.5°×0.5°、1.0°×1.0°及2.5°×2.5°经纬度网格。将站点观测的降水距平进行空间插值后，叠加至对应分辨率的GPCC气候态V2022数据集（DOI：10.5676/DWD_GPCC/Clim_M_V2022_025、10.5676/DWD_GPCC/Clim_M_V2022_050、10.5676/DWD_GPCC/Clim_M_V2022_100、10.5676/DWD_GPCC/Clim_M_V2022_250）。本数据集的时间覆盖范围为1891年1月至2020年12月。
