We examined ESBL-producing isolates obtained from livestock, human, companion animals, food and environment between 2010 and 2016 in Germany for the presence of the CTX-M-27 allele. Here we report that E. coli ST131 C1/H30R-blaCTX-M-27 is exclusively present in human populations and that its incidence increased from 0-45% between 2010 and 2016.
