Marine Trackline Geophysics Database This feature layer, utilizing National Geospatial Data Asset (NGDA) data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), displays global bathymetry, magnetic, gravity and seismic shot point navigation data. Per NOAA, “This data set contains bathymetry, magnetic, gravity and seismic shot point navigation data collected during marine cruises from 1939 to the present. Coverage is worldwide. The Data records present geophysical data (bathymetry, magnetics and gravity) and seismic information (shot-point identification) with a corresponding time and position. Documentation that varies within the cruise is also included with the data records.” PM-HI-ALT-WORLD-RSD-4 (Aeromagnetics) and P885NS (Gravity Survey) Data currency: This cached Esri federal service is checked weekly for updates from its enterprise federal source (TracklineCombined Dynamic) and will support mapping, analysis, data exports and OGC API – Feature access. Per the Federal Geospatial Data Committee (FGDC), Elevation is defined as "the measured vertical position of the earth surface and other landscape or bathymetric features relative to a reference datum typically related to sea level. These points normally describe bare earth positions but may also describe the top surface of buildings and other objects, vegetation structure, or submerged objects. Elevation data can be stored as a three-dimensional array or as a continuous surface such as a raster, triangulated irregular network, or contours.
