Experts Interview and Elicitation on Integrating Process Safety and Process Security Risk Management

This research is being conducted by Muhammad Shah Bin Ab Rahim as part of his doctoral study at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands. This doctoral study is supported by the Public Service Department of Malaysia under the Federal Training Prize 2022 with reference number JPA(1)830227015745.<br>The main objective of this research is to investigate the potential for integrating process safety and process security risk management within the chemical process industries (CPI). This study seeks to develop an integrated process safety and process security risk management framework that encapsulates principles of resilience engineering. A resilience engineering approach could enhance systems' capability to anticipate, withstand, and recover from adverse events.<br>As part of this research, we seek insights from process safety and security professionals to enhance our understanding, develop and refine the integrated framework and its structured set of performance indicators.<br>This study was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of TU Delft on 17 January 2024.
