Washington Post District of Columbia Mayoral Election Poll, September 1994

This special topic poll, fielded in September of 1994, was undertaken to assess respondents' views on the District of Columbia mayoral election. Respondents were asked to assess how likely they were to vote in the primary held on September 13th, who they would vote for if the election were held that day, and how certain they were of voting for that candidate. Respondents were also asked if there was a candidate for whom they would not vote, under any circumstances, and if so, who it was. Queries included how interested the respondent was in the mayoral election and how long the respondent had been registered to vote in Washington, DC. Questions also assessed how likely it was that an endorsement of a particular candidate by the Washington Post newspaper would influence the respondent's vote.
