This accession contains physical profile water depth and temperature data. The bathythermograph (XBT) data was collected between December 21, 1989 and January 26, 1990 as part of Integrated Global Ocean Service System (IGOSS) project. The data were sent from the cruise ship to the Ocean product Center (OPC), Camp Springs, MD via telecommunication. This data containing 1,877 observations was submitted by Mr. William D. Newell and is offline on January 24, 2005 when this abstract was written. Please check the actual file format when data becomes available on line before uploading this abstract.
