Sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome (SARDS) is diagnosed primarily in middle-aged, female dogs and most dogs exhibit concomitant systemic abnormalities including polyphagia. As a key stimulator of appetite and food intake, the hormone ghrelin may play a role in the polyphagia seen in dogs with SARDS. The aim of this study was to determine ghrelin concentrations in the plasma of dogs diagnosed with SARDS compared to healthy controls and the relationship to age and sex.突发性获得性视网膜变性综合征（Sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome, SARDS）主要确诊于中年雌性犬只，多数患病犬会伴随出现包括食欲亢进在内的全身性异常。作为调控食欲与进食行为的关键刺激因子，激素饥饿素（ghrelin）可能在SARDS患犬的食欲亢进症状中发挥作用。本研究旨在测定SARDS患犬血浆中的饥饿素浓度，并与健康对照组进行对比，同时分析该浓度与犬只年龄、性别的关联。
