Bacterial communities of plum phyllosphere

European plum (Prunus domestica L.) is a significant commercial crop in Serbia in terms of total fruit production. Information of bacterial communities of plums are scarce, especially in terms of metabarcoding approach. This study was investigated the bacterial communities associated with leaves and fruits of four local Serbian plum cultivars (Požegaca, Ranka, Cacanska lepotica and Cacanska rodna) in two phenological stages during early (May) and late (July) fruit maturation. Knowledge of microbe community assembly living in plum phyllosphere as well as how they change during fruit maturation can help us manage diseases associated with plum.
