Two probable very-short period intermediate polars

We propose to test the hypothesis that the cataclysmic variablesHS Cam (RX J0719.2+6557) and HT Cam (RX J0757.0+6306) are two shortperiod intermediate polars. While an alternative interpretation ispossible for each source based on the optical data, XMMNewton observations caneasily provide the distinctive features: (i) the shape of the orbital variationof the Xray intensity, and (ii) coherent Xray pulsations caused by the spin ofthe white dwarf.
