This dataset contains data on the rhizosphere PGPR community of alfalfa under 8-year continuous cultivation, corresponding to the research paper Root exudates drive sustainable alfalfa productivity by enriching plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) that modulate soil nutrient transformation. The data were obtained from rhizosphere soil samples of alfalfa varieties with different yield traits (high-yield vs conventional) and rhizosphere samples from rhizobox experiments (different barrier conditions, sterilized/non-sterilized soil treatments) through microbial diversity sequencing, community analysis and other experimental methods. Core data include rhizosphere microbial OTU annotation results, relative abundance of PGPR groups (especially Ensifer, Pseudomonas and Bacillus genera), community alpha-diversity (Shannon index, Chao1 index), beta-diversity (PCoA analysis related data) and community assembly related parameters. This dataset is designed to clearly present the enrichment characteristics of the PGPR community in the alfalfa rhizosphere, provide reliable microbial community data support for analyzing the association between rhizosphere microorganisms and the sustainable high yield of alfalfa, and can be used for subsequent research on alfalfa rhizosphere microbial ecology and PGPR resource mining.
