The structural and functional alteration of gut microbiota in elderly patients with hyperlipidemia

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the structure, composition, and functions of gut microbiota in elderly patients with hyperlipidemia. The stool samples were collected for 16S rRNA gene high throughput sequencing. The blood samples were collected for clinical biochemical index testing. Significant changes have occurred in the structure and composition of the gut microbiota in elderly patients with hyperlipidemia.
