Overall design: Total RNA extracted from 1 male and 1 female pooled striatum per sample using Qiagen miRNeasy kit (cat. #217004) and Dnase-treatment done on-column. Total RNA-seq libraries were prepared using the Illumina stranded total RNA-seq kit (cat. #RS-122-2201).
