MARGIN: Marginal Analysis of Regional Growth and International Networks

MARGIN (Marginal Analysis of Regional Growth and International Networks) is a methodology and software tool for identifying marginal suppliers in consequential life cycle assessment (CLCA). By integrating regional production trends with international trade relationships, MARGIN provides a transparent and reproducible framework for market delimitation and supplier identification. Preprocessed market-datasets are available, following the methodology, for more than 2.000 markets so far. The tool supports automated analysis of production and trade datasets and is designed for applications in life cycle assessment, environmental modelling, and industrial ecology. MARGIN aims to improve the consistency, scalability, and documentation of consequential market modelling.
