The expression level of C8orf76 is upregulated in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) and is associated with poor prognosis. C8orf76 binds to the promoter region of CALB2, mediates cell cycle arrest, promotes cellular senescence, and thereby facilitates the proliferation and migration of ccRCC.
