Magnetic skyrmions are topologically non-trivial whirls of magnetisation which attract significant interest due to their promising energy-efficient dynamical properties and enhanced performance against conventional devices. Cu2OSeO3 is a well-studied skyrmion-hosting system where a hexagonal skyrmion lattice forms slightly below the ordering temperature of 58 K under small magnetic fields of 20 mT. However, to date the exact nature of the skyrmion lattice spin structure remains an open question. To address this, we propose performing small angle neutron scattering (SANS) measurements with polarisation analysis on Cu2OSeO3 in order to determine the winding type (Bloch vs. Neel) of the skyrmion lattice and its microscopic structure.
