green manure-maize rotation

The dataset in this study is about the effect of optimized fertilization on soil multifunctionality in a green manure-maize rotation system. Optimized fertilization is specifically described as transferring part of the N or/and P fertilizer in the maize phase to the green manure phase to achieve sustainable agricultural development. We hypothesize that optimized fertilization can affect soil multifunctionality by regulating labile carbon and nitrogen fractions and enzyme activity. The dataset mainly includes soil nutrients, labile carbon and nitrogen fractions, soil enzyme activity, soil multifunctionality, maize yield, green manure biomass and nutrient uptake, and random forest predictor variable importance. The research data are the results of tests by relevant personnel in this research group.
