This dataset of horizontal gene transfer events has been generated through tree reconciliation. To generate these data, we considered the gene content from the pangenomes of 8790 species based on 78,315 high-quality single isolate genomes. Genes were clustered based on nucleotide sequence identity and sequence overlap, and a phylogenetic tree was built for each cluster containing at least five different species. Using RANGER-DTL, phylogenetic trees were then reconciled with a species tree based on 40 universal single-copy marker genes and potential transfer nodes were detected.
