3D Monte Carlo radiative transfer simulations for fractal-shaped cloud patterns

The Monte Carlo Atmospheric Radiative Transfer Simulator (MCARaTS) is used to perform 3D radiative transfer simulations for 4 different fractal-shaped cloud patterns to study how horizontal radiative energy exchanges between cloud-free and cloudy regions vary with cloud fraction and normalized cloud perimeter length.
