Dataset of "Reliable machine learning initialization methods for the calibration of Dynamic Energy Budget models" by Oliveira et al. (2025)

The content of this dataset is derived from the Add-my-Pet collection and is used in the paper: Oliveira, D.F., Marques, G.M., Santos, F.M.P., Pecquerie, L., Sousa, J.M.C., Domingos, T. (2025).Reliable machine learning initialization methods for the calibration of Dynamic Energy Budget models. Available at SSRN: https://ssrn.com/abstract=5434102 or http://dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.5434102. It contains raw and processed data of parameters and species data obtained from the Add-my-Pet collection, as well as the DEB models to evaluate the performance of the machine-learning initialization methods. See the README.md file and the paper for more details. Each of the DEB models included in this dataset have been developed by its own authors. The data used to build each DEB model has been collected by the authors and is sourced accordingly.Both the data, model, and estimation of each species was curated by the Add-my-Pet board of curators.The specific information for each species is available in its mydata_species.m file.
