The data included here ascertains the effects of loop nucleobase substitution on G-quadruplex thermal stability in aqueous glycine betaine, proline, TMAO, and urea solutions. The folder ThermalUnfoldingFiles contains Excel spreadsheets with the raw absorbance versus temperature unfolding data for each G-quadruplex in glycine betaine, proline, TMAO, and urea solutions. The folder G2 MathematicaTwoStateFitting contains Mathematica notebooks with two-state fits to the data in the ThermalUnfoldingFiles folder. EstimateG2UnfoldedSurfaceAreaFromdr_SASA.xls is an Excel spreadsheet that calculates the change in solvent accessible surface area of G2 and estimates the m-value/RT in aqueous glycine betaine, proline, TMAO, and urea solutions. QuadruplexSummary.xlsx is an Excel spreadsheet that consolidates melting temperatures and unfolding enthalpies for the G-quadruplexes to determine m-value/RT values and unfolding enthalpy dependence on cosolute molality in glycine betaine, proline, TMAO, and urea solutions.
