Socio-economic and demographic questions: sex; religion; age (open and categorised); marital status; main breadwinner; highest level of education of respondent and main breadwinner; current employment status of respondent and main breadwinner; current or last profession of respondent and main breadwinner; professional sector of respondent and main breadwinner; authority to issue directives; acquisition of food and goods; evaluation of household standard of living; monthly budget expenditure; net household income; building material of the house; availability of electricity and running water, water access in running distance; household equipment (cattle, livestock, production of crops and food plants, refrigerator, stove, electric fan, bicycle, motorbike, car or truck, tractor).

Additionally coded was: questionnaire ID; size of settlement; district; urban/rural; capital Kampala or other urban/rural residential area; interviewer was accompanied by a supervisor; interview day; interview date (day and month); start and end of the interview; interview language; respondent was recontacted; interviewers´ estimated age of the respondent; weighting factors.
