This dataset aims to provide a highly operable programming approach and corresponding code for solving one-dimensional Richards equations using finite element method. The finite element method is used to discretize the one-dimensional Richards equations in space and time; Determine the interpolation function and weight function; Using the Galerkin method, finite element equations are obtained through partial integration and boundary condition processing; Using Jacobian variation and Gaussian numerical integration, a nonlinear algebraic formula is obtained, and the Newton Raphson method is used to solve it. Finally, boundary conditions are introduced to solve for the soil volumetric moisture content in the soil profile at any time except for the boundary. I hope to enable novice researchers with weak mathematical foundations to quickly achieve numerical simulation of one-dimensional Richards equation finite element method, in order to play a positive role in breakthroughs in numerical simulation of soil physical processes in China in the future.
