Genome-wide case-control association study in Sweden, with the aim to study the genetic basis of schizophrenia risk, disease severity and treatment resistance, as well as the interplay with environmental risk factors. The study cohort includes array-based data from whole blood-DNA. Population-based sampling was used to recruit cases with schizophrenia, based on data from the Swedish national patient register, as well as controls who had never been hospitalized for schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.EGA study EGAS00001006772
