"Achieving high selectivity in radar signal receivers requires the use of high-Q bandpass filters. However, scientific literature lacks sufficient information on the design of high-Q filters with narrow passbands and compact geometric dimensions. This paper presents a developed compact high-Q bandpass filter design implemented on a symmetric microstrip line using a thermally stable dielectric material. The proposed filter configuration is investigated using software tools that enable synthesis and optimization of various filter topologies, design of lumped-element components, and execution of both 2.5D (planar multilayer) and three-dimensional electromagnetic simulations of microwave structures. The analytical design equations for the filter circuit elements are provided. The topology of a compact high-Q bandpass filter has been obtained. The correctness of simulation results is confirmed by experimental data from prototyping the developed and manufactured structure. The practical value of the work lies in the development and fabrication of a compact high-Q bandpass filter in microelectronic form for radar applications, which maintains stable operation across a wide temperature range due to the use of a thermally stable dielectric material."
