Vegetation Communities of Marthas Vineyard

The vegetation communities were mapped/classified per the Classification of the Natural Communities of Massachusetts (published by Natural Heritage Endangered Species Program, Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, March, 2020). Source data referenced for this mapping project included: MassGIS 2021 Aerial Imagery (leaf-off) NAIP National Agriculture Imagery Program 2021 (leaf-on) LiDAR 2021 (20 points per square meter) The LiDAR were collected during this MassGIS/USGS flight but a local 'buy-up' was implemented to get the 20ppm point density. Please see this companion document for full details regarding attributes, data schema, and domain values. Download a zip file containing several legend files for use in ArcPro (3.3.2 or newer).
