Pol-NIC: an open database on Pollen Nutrients, Imaging and Contaminants

In this database, we first provide a dataset on monofloral pollen nutrient content from a systemic review of the literature. Then, we provide a database with two additional datasets and an imaging database, providing data on multidimensional pollen chemical characteristics with 32 macro- and micro-nutrients, 100 contaminants and micro-imaging, assessed using a unifying method to characterize pollen composition. This database is dynamic and will be updated over time with new pollen samples (from various plant species, collection methods, and locations), providing a valuable open resource for research, environmental planning and landscape management.
