VPRS 12459 Protocol Files: Royal Visit 1954 H.M Queen

The Protocol Branch of the Premiers Department was responsible for the arrangements for and conduct of State and ceremonial occasions, including Royal Visits such as that of Her majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh in 1954.This series consists of files from the file system developed for the purposes of the administration of the visit. Many of the files remaining from the complete filing system have to do with the arrangements for visits to regional and country Victoria. Files contain details of the timing related to the visits, transport arrangements and greeting ceremonies as well as itineraries and correspondence regarding the arrangements.
