in the current company and at earlier places of work; position in the
company; professional image; degree of solidarity with the company;
work satisfaction; presence of organization plan and job description;
perceived prospects of promotion; knowledge about the salary of
colleagues, superiors and subordinates; criteria in selection of place
of work and situation in the job market at last change of position;
influences of social environment at change of place of work;
occupational opportunities in the area of place of residence; criteria
for occupational success; length of training time; reading technical
literature and personal publications; participation in occupational
further education events; occupational activities abroad; attitude to
psychological tests as instrument of applicant selection for positions
of leadership; membership in a professional organization; personal
school grades; attitude to achievement-oriented child-raising;
educational goals; social origins. Beyond this the respondents kept
self-observation records in which on several days the most important
activities were described in detail according to time expended, type of
activity, interaction partner, necessary knowledge etc.
Demography: age; sex; age und number of siblings; position in sibling
sequence; school education; vocational training; occupation;
professional career; income; housing situation; regional origins.
