资源简介:

This dataset is derived from Landsat series satellites (Landsat 4/5/7/8) imagery from 1984 to 2021. A total of 186 complete suspended sediment fronts (SSF) in the Yellow River Estuary and adjacent waters (119°E–120°E, 37°N–38.2°N) were extracted by retrieving sea surface suspended sediment concentration (SSC), calculating the horizontal SSC gradient, and applying manual calibration using true-color images. Each SSF is stored as a series of longitude-latitude coordinate pairs and can be directly used for spatial mapping and change analysis. The SSF distribution covers all four seasons: 72 fronts in autumn, 60 in winter, 34 in spring, and 20 in summer. The dataset can be used to analyze seasonal characteristics, interannual variability, and the decadal contraction trend (approximately 25.6% from 1984 to 2021) of SSF in the Yellow River Estuary. This dataset serves as a fundamental resource for studies on land-ocean interaction, suspended sediment transport, frontal dynamics, and long-term remote sensing monitoring in the Yellow River Estuary. The study is supported by the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province Project(ZR2022MD056) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China General Project(42076006).
