NYC 311 Service Request Raw Dataset for Resolution Time Prediction

This dataset contains a research subset of NYC 311 service requests used to study and predict public-service request resolution time. The data were obtained from the NYC Open Data portal and include 17,861 records and 46 original variables covering request creation and closure times, responsible agencies, problem types, reporting channels, location types, boroughs, and geographical coordinates. The observation period covers service requests created between July 2025 and July 2026. Each row represents one NYC 311 service request. The dataset was used as the raw input for a CRISP-DM-based predictive analytics study comparing regression and classification approaches. Resolution time was subsequently calculated as the difference between Closed Date and Created Date, but no derived target or model prediction has been added to this raw-data file. After data-quality processing, 16,667 valid records were retained for modeling. The original and authoritative source is NYC Open Data, specifically the “311 Service Requests from 2020 to Present” dataset. Users should consult the original NYC Open Data record for the latest version, field definitions, update frequency, and terms of use. This Zenodo deposit represents a static research snapshot and may not reflect later corrections or updates made by the City of New York.
