Dataset for: Advection of Karenia brevis from the Florida panhandle towards Mississippi coastal waters

The forecast from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Intra-American Seas Nowcast Forecast System (IASNFS) was used to understand the circulation patterns observed during Fall 2007 and determine whether the circulation patterns were favorable for advection of a Karenia brevis bloom first observed in the Florida Panhandle. The velocity components were used to release Lagrangian particles (dataset R4.x260.000:0093) and determine the transport during that time frame.
