资源简介:

Background Tooth loss and its consequences is the main field of interest of the implantoprosthetic rehabilitation. What makes it challenging is the need of elevation of the sinus floor in case of alveolar bone atrophy. During sinus-lift some kind of the stabilising material is needed. Among many xeno- and allografts are broadly used. Thanks to their different properties, they might be used in various kinds of procedures. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a trending additional tool in regenerative dentistry. Its influence on the healing process is well known. However, its capability to affect bone healing in the elevated sinus floor is quite scare. Objectives Main objective was to assess two different origin bone grafts (allograft and xenograft) in sinus-lift application. Additional objective was to evaluate the influence of the LLLT on recovery period in terms of pain and soft tissue behaviour. Material and Methods 20 patients was randomly divided into groups. In half of the patients a xenogenous while in other half allograft was used. Among them, random half of patients were chosen for additional LLLT treatment. Patients were clinically and radiologically examined. Then standard lateral sinus-lift procedure was performed. After 3- and 7-days control appointment was done in which level of pain, trismus and swelling was evaluated. And after 135 days the Cone-Beam Computed Tomography and previously mentioned examination was performed in order to evaluate new bone height, density and homogeneity. Results LLLT reduced level of trismus. In male gender trismus level was lower as well. LLLT widened patients’ face’s circumferences. Pain level was low and without differences between groups. Allografts after 135 were more homogenous, but xenografts presented higher density. Conclusions LLLT improves patients recovery following sinus-lift surgery. There were no significant differences between grafting material, but if the long lasting and denser bone is needed, xenograft looks to be an answer.
