Democracy and Fiscal Space in Africa

The data was used in the study "Dissecting the role of democracy on fiscal space creation in Africa. Fiscal space is measured using two proxies, debt limit-based (FSDT) and de-facto fiscal space (FSDF). Democracy is captured using five proxies; electoral, liberal, deliberative, participatory, and egalitarian democracy.
