Next-generation sequencing of 18S rRNA genes in marine sediments from the Terrigal coast

Extreme storms that result in heavy precipitation can also drive significant inputs of stormwater and terrigenous sediment offshore with unknown consequences for many of the exposed organisms. This project aims to investigate the identity of sediment microbial communities off the coast of Terrigal and links to ecological health.
