This dataset focuses on the Hanjiang River Basin located in the north-south transitional zone of China, and collects monthly runoff data from major hydrological stations in this basin over the period 1950–2018. The dataset comprises 22 hydrological stations, and is primarily developed through standardized sorting, analysis and integration of collected and curated historical hydrological yearbook materials. It contains annual, monthly and month-by-month runoff data, with a total of 757 data records and a total data size of 615 KB. The dataset is fully open for public sharing.
