Urban Separators under King County Countywide Planning Policies

Urban separators are corridors of land that define community or municipal identities and boundaries, provide visual breaks in the urban landscape, and link parks and open space within and outside the Urban Growth Area. These urban corridors can include and link parks and other lands that contain significant environmentally sensitive features, provide wildlife habitat or critical resource protection, contain defining physical features, or contain historic resources. The residential density for land so designated should be maintained at one unit per acre.城市分隔廊道（Urban separators）是一类土地廊道，用于界定社区或市政的身份与边界，为城市景观提供视觉隔断，并连接城市增长区（Urban Growth Area）内外的公园与开放空间。此类城市廊道可涵盖并连接各类公园及其他地块，这些地块或具备显著环境敏感特征，或为野生动物提供栖息地、承担重要资源保护功能，或拥有标志性自然地貌，亦或留存历史资源。被划定为此类用地的地块，其住宅密度应维持为每英亩1个住宅单元。
