Alamo and EM-APEX float measurements collected by CSHOR

Two Alamo floats (9200 and 9201) as the pilot floats were deployed in April 2018. Six Alamo floats (9205, 9206, 9207, 9208, 9209 and 9210) and two EM-APEX floats (em8487 and em8488) were deployed by CSHOR on Nov 22nd 2018 in the northwest of Australia. The float data provides the high resolution of the upper ocean structure for almost three months, including observations under two MJO events from the end of 2018 to the beginning of 2019. Data is stored in the format of netcdf files.\nLineage: Alamo floats as the fast-profiling Argo floats profile the temperature and salinity in the upper ocean. EM-APEX floats measure the temperature, salinity, horizontal current velocity in the upper 500-m ocean. The individual profiles at each float are stored in the format of netcdf files. \nThe quality control on the Alamo float measurements is finished following the procedure in the typical Argo floats. See the description of "procedure_alamo_qc.docx". The raw data of EM-APEX floats is processed automatically within the floats. The processed data are transmitted via the satellites.
