Replication package for "Herd contraction and the decoupling of modeled enteric methane in Minas Gerais municipalities, 2010-2021"

Reproducible build for a municipal analysis of milk production and modeled dairy enteric methane in Minas Gerais, Brazil, comparing 2010 and 2021 across a balanced sample of 848 of the state's 853 municipalities. The package contains the three immutable raw CSV inputs assembled from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) SIDRA system and Localities API on 25 August 2026, the analysis pipeline, the configuration file, unit tests, and the complete generated build: the analytical sample, seven tables, four figures, run diagnostics and a SHA-256 manifest of every input and output. Emissions are modeled with Equation 3 of Congio et al. (2022), the all-data milk-yield equation for Latin American and Caribbean dairy cattle, using GWP100 = 27.0 for non-fossil methane (IPCC AR6). Equations 8 and 13 are included as confined and grazing sensitivity scenarios. The build reports an exact multiplicative Fisher decomposition of the change in modeled methane into herd-and-spatial-composition and modeled-emissions-per-cow components, the complete Tapio (2005) decoupling taxonomy at municipal level, and regression results with CR1 clustering by microregion, cluster jackknife and restricted wild-cluster bootstrap-t inference. Running python run_all.py --config config/main.json regenerates the entire build from the raw inputs.
